Store Water for Emergency

With the recent water shortage, people made use of whatever water storage vessels that they could find. To stock up on rationed water, they came up with empty soda bottles, pails and water jugs. It would have been a blessing if they had water barrels. These are bigger vessels that are used to store water from the rain. They could have been used to store bigger amounts of rationed water.

We may not be too eager to use stored water for drinking or cooking purposes but they will be a great help in watering plants, flushing toilets and washing cars. Even in times when water is in abundant supply, it will be a good idea to have a water barrel or two filled with stored water. You never know when water flowing from the faucet will be interrupted. Just make sure that they are well covered. We don’t want dengue carrying mosquitoes in our midst.
